Miss Maybell (Vocalist, Washboardist, and Kazooist) and Charlie Judkins (Pianist) met in the fall of 2018 and immediately bonded over a mutual love of old Jazz, Blues, Ragtime and dusty phonograph records. Together they formed a duo dedicated to preserving this music, performing a wide range of tunes spanning from Louis Moreau Gottschalk to Clarence Williams.

This New York City based duo play at venues such as The Jalopy, Fine and Rare, St. Mazie’s and Chez Josephine. They have also been featured at the legendary Birdland theatre and soon at Louisville’s Jug Band Jubilee. Miss Maybell & Charlie Judkins have also been featured on NPR’s “Person, Place, Thing”, 100.1 Radio Woodstock , the Cold River Radio Show, and have recently wrapped up a tour in St. Louis, and New England promoting their debut album “The Lingering Blues”
